This week’s tenant is The Median Sib – a US blog whose author, Carol, is the middle child of seven (hence the title). I particularly love her tagline: “Therapy is expensive. Blogging is free. You do the math.” A fine philosophy – I like her already!
She has a good, strong writing style and a fun sense of humour; the blog layout is very accessible and easy on the eye. There’s a large variety of entries, ranging on observations about her life (I am very envious of her “perfect house plan” and I do hope she posts the photos of the end result when she gets there), jokes, politics and linkage. Well worth a meander when you’ve got a mo…

You’re in for a treat with this week’s blog offering: TWI – Tech and Weirdness of the Interweb.
The site has a great uncluttered scheme and does exactly what it says on the tin with a fantastic mix of news and opinion pieces. Entries range from killer squirrels and panda porn right through to wiretap hacking and Linux for your Ipod. I found that after only a few minutes browsing that I’d increased my knowledge as well as having been entertained.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a couple of months of archives to read through!

This week, if you get a chance, pop over and say hi to my latest tenant: Jaab Family Blog, “Jaab” being Julie, Al, Andrew, and Ben! Most recently, the content is generally reviews of movies they’ve rented, but browsing through their categories shows a fair selection of funnies, photos and general ramblings which make for an entertaining little meander!

I have a new feature. If you look over to the little sidebar on your right, I now have a little rental space for showcasing other people’s blogs via Blog Explosion – a way of introducing readers to other sites of interest out in the blogosphere.
This week’s blog of note is OneManBandwidth. Lonnie, an American currently living in China, writes his observations about life there with a fair amount of politics, photographs, cartoons and poetry thrown in for good measure. The blog layout is simple but eyecatching, and this man knows how to use paragraph breaks, which my eyes are always greatful for!
His observations are interesting and detailed – I’ve been especially moved by the recent blog post about the cost of medical treatment and what happens when the money finally runs out. A reminder of how grateful I am for the National Health Service here in the UK, even when I do moan about its inefficiencies. Well worth a visit.
