PSc (in full Red Dwarf tradition) stands for Pink Swimming Certificate.
Yes, tonight my eldest son, who for years hated to even get his face wet and would beg me to let him stop swimming lessons, got his 10m badge! We’re all very proud.
He can even do that clever head side-turn thing to breathe when he’s swimming – I can’t even do that!

Congrats to him! Is he happy with the lessons now?

I wish they would do cool things like that for grown ups. It might give me enough incentive to get back in the pool and get beyond 25 metres!

Fantastic! Congrats to Akra Jr.!!!
Ooh that reminds me… I have to get two new pairs of kid goggles today otherwise I’ll be in trouble tomorrow. We seem to go through them like tissues.

Yes, he loves them now, Tami – he’s also recently had a few lessons at school and was really proud to have been in the higher group so the whole thing has given him so much confidence.
I never really learned to swim properly hence my insistence that they can’t drop lessons until they can swim one length of the pool but I don’t really mind how long it takes them to do that. Their lessons are quite relaxed, friendly and fun and they seem to treat it more as a social occasion!
anabels: you and me both! Although my mother says she has a badge like that from when she did a week’s residential adult swimming course, so maybe you can in some places?

Aww that’s so great! I never learnt how to swim… really wish I had cos I’m kinda scared of water now.
