Sympathy Required

I’m ill, pity me.

The kids kindly brought home a cold on the second day of school and it’s gone right to my sinuses so have had really disturbed sleep for the last 5 nights (although last night wasn’t too bad – only woke up twice – vast improvement).

For me, first sign of Autumn is when I have to increase my inhaler dosage. *sigh*.

After five nights, it can only get better …. right?!

I hope so. I feel a bit more human today – more like someone with just a bad cold. Yesterday in particular was a huge struggle.

Glad you’re feeling a wee bit better. But that’s really rough and I hope you’ll be back to normal soon.

I highly recomend eucalyptus crystals to be used as a steam. Don’t use too much – it will blow your head off to start and your eyes will be streaming, but they do work. Only issue is where to get them – I tend to stock up in the Spoice souk in Dubai – not your average local store but I am sure they are available somewhere,

I use Olbas when the Hobbits have colds.

Colds aren’t too bad but there has been a bout of sickness at their school, throwing up in the playground etc. Nice.

I hope you get better soon, I think it has been such a rotten summer that illness is everywhere just now.

Ahh I have exactly the same thing. It was very embarrassing when my blocked sinuses were making me eyes red and watery when I was trying to do the shopping :( I hope you get better soon.

    :( poor you.
pitypitypity and a cup of hot tea (or select beverage of choice.)
    get well soon.

And I STILL HAVE IT! The myth that colds are only 5-10 days long is a LIE!

My top tip: buy shares in Kleenex and Nurofen – I bet they’re still buoyant despite current climate.
