… if you haven’t finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as it contains tons of spoilers.
But if you have, and you’re desperate to find out more of what happened after the book ended, here’s an exclusive interview with JK Rowling which ties up many of the loose ends.

Over the last couple of days I’ve had several phone calls from family and friends checking to see how we are over the last week’s flooding. I’m pleased to report that we’ve been lucky. Very lucky.
Living in Worcester (and Akra working near Tewkesbury) we seem to be slap bang in the middle of the worst hit areas. Yet, living on a hill, I’ve seen nothing of the flood waters at all, our water hasn’t been cut off and our electricity supply has remained constant throughout. I’ve avoided driving into town (despite previous plans to take the boys to the library the first day of the school holidays) so haven’t personally seen any of the damage or had even the slightest inconvenience as a result.
Akra’s journey home on the Friday night was somewhat interesting. Leaving early, a half-hour journey took him over 4 and a half hours to get home, taking lots of alternate routes, eventually getting onto the M5 after pausing to phone me to let me know he wasn’t sure if he would get through the water on the slip road. A few hours later, that motorway would become impassable and many would spend the night in their cars, stuck.
His boss and some of his colleagues left a little later and ended up repeatedly returning to the office, unable to find a safe route home. It wasn’t until the landlord gave them a lift in his Landrover that they finally managed to get out. But again, the office has been fairly lucky – water and electricity still connected, no actual flooding on site.
As I understand it, there’s still a severe flood warnings in place for Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Worcester due to the River Severn, so we’ll have to see how that pans out, but gut feeling is that we’ve seen the worst of it (here at least).
All my sympathies to those who weren’t quite as lucky.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
arrived this morning. I have just finished it (12 hours after receipt) thanks to a very understanding husband and slightly bemused children.
It didn’t disappoint.
That’s all.

And so we enter the last week of term. I can’t say that I’m not looking forward to the end of this one, to be honest, as it just seems to have been a constant time juggle throughout.
What with various activities, potty training, the dropping of naps, terrible weather and lots of boundary pushing it just feels like every area of my life has suffered – none of them getting the amount of attention and time that they deserve. I’m lurching from one crisis to the next, but also becoming mind-numbingly bored.
Okay, so the holidays probably won’t be an easy ride – with no nursery or school respite it’ll still be hard to fit everything I want to get done into one day, but at least we won’t be always dashing off to the next thing… having to time every activity with the artificial cut off of school pick up or Tumble tots session. We also get to finish with toddler group this term (Li’l Bhaji will be going to nursery five mornings a week from September) and while our group has been absolutely fantastic, I’ve been going to it for over four years now and I’ve outgrown it as much as my children have.
I’m not the only one who is suffering from end-of-term-itis either. Both boys have been playing up considerably over the last few weeks. They’re whiny, argumentative and tired. We’re all looking forward to some lazy days.
Oh, and some sunshine would be nice too, please.

Actively procrastinating again? Well I’ve found just the game for you: Bloxorz – guaranteed to vanish a few hours of your time. It takes a little time to load, but it’s worth the wait.
The premise is deceptively simple – just manoeuvre the block into the little hole at the end of the course. Only somehow it’s an awful lot more tricky than it looks and becomes very addictive fast.
Go on. You know you want to. Click it…

You know how, if you’re putting your child in time out, they’re supposed to spend one minute for each year of their life in their room? So a three year old will get three minutes time out for bad behaviour?
Well, I’m 33… the kids are driving me nuts… and I really fancy finishing off my book in a quiet room – can I put myself in Time Out please?!
