Thank God.

For the techies, the LNB had blown. I’m so not going to tell you what it cost to replace, we’re still reeling ourselves.

Still, Cbeebies and sanity has returned after what has to be one of the longest weeks of my life.

All I have to do now is get them unhooked from Channel 5. Is it my imagination, or does that channel have NO programmes whatsoever – seems to be wall to wall childrens’ toy adverts:

Akra Jr: “I want that!”
Li’l Bhaji: “I want that!”
Akra Jr: “I want that!”
Li’l Bhaji: “NO I want that!”
Akra Jr: “We can both have that.”
Me (muttering out of earshot): “Santa’s broke kids, and even if he wasn’t he has more taste than to buy THAT plastic tat.”

Aww. But isn’t it lovely that they’re at an age where they’re completely and utterly excited by Christmas.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Soon they’ll be old and cynical like the rest of us. :)

(And I’ll have a Dremel and Uma Thurman for Chistmas this year, please Santa.)

My daughter say a horse on TV and said “I want that”. The price came up at the end and I nearly choked on my coffee. My son said that Santa couldn’t fit it on her sleigh. Well done him. Well, £300 is definitely way too much!

That’ll be why the channel doesn’t want a ban on children’s adverts then.

And our excuse is that Santa doesn’t like greedy children (watch Polar Express, tell them Santa checks up on them on the big tv screens!)

Sorry zip, you can have ONE thing that’s on your telly…. dust (tee hee)

Dom: I know I know, and they are getting very excited. Akra Jr was most put out that it’s still over a month away.

Alley Katt: yes, we’re having discussions about Santa not quite having a sack big enough for all their wants!

Paula: ooo Polar Express, good idea. Will get them to watch that this weekend ;)

Had to google LNB- me no techie- and I found this page: http://www.thedigiboxshop.com/Shop/prodList.asp

They don’t seem extortionate, so I can only assume that the fitting is the dfficult and expensive bit.
