WTF is wrong with Amazon’s dispatch at the moment?! This is the second order that was supposed to have been dispatched in 24hrs and despite having an estimated delivery date of 25th April (which I think they’ve probably missed by now… unless we have some really committed postpersons in our area) while saying dispatch is imminent. Dispatch has been imminent all bloody day. I sent them an email which is supposed to be responded to within 24hrs – if that’s the same 24hrs they use to time dispatch I won’t hold my breath.
Now, I’m a devoted Amazon customer simply because their swiftness of delivery always used to be awesome. Now I’m going to have to find another internet retailer to bleed cash into. *sigh*. And damnit, I need that T’ai Chi DVD to channel some of this stress into, or you’re all going to have to suffer a very ranty blog over the weekend.

It was really bad in November/December (ok, maybe a Christmas rush) but I think they”re really losing it. Great shame, I used to love ordering on Amazon, have spent a great deal of money there over the years. Let us know if you find a good alternative!

And I”m annoyed that my father contacted customer services because his order was 3 days late – he gets a ?5 gift voucher. I ring to say that my order is 2 WEEKS late and all I get is an apology. A very nice apology but no voucher. Sulk.

I will do! It”s books that”s the big difficulty… videos and DVDs I always used to use Blackstar who had excellent customer service but were slightly slower in delivery times because they”re based in Ireland I think.
When I say slightly slower, I mean that the afternoon order didn”t make the next morning, but made the day after that, which wasn”t bad.
Books is the real problem, especially because you need to be able to “browse” on the site, and Amazon”s site is good for browsing unlike BOLs for example *sigh*.
